Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Collection Announced for Switch and Switch 2
Releasing October 2nd
On the occasion of the announcement of Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie, Nintendo has decided to offer a collection containing the two titles that inspired the animated film. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are set to return in high definition on the hybrid consoles from the Kyoto-based company. The first chapter was actually already part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, but this is the first time the sequel, released on Wii in 2010, has been re-released.
The two titles can also be purchased separately on the eShop (where pre-orders are already available). The debut of Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 is scheduled for Switch and Switch 2 on October 2nd. On April 2nd, 2026, the Amiibo figures dedicated to this version of Mario and Rosalina with the iconic storybook, to which new pages seem to have been added, will be released in stores.
