Steam Machine and Steam Frame to Release This Summer

Steam Deck, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller were unveiled in November: Valve's new hardware line was supposed to be released within the first few months of 2026, but plans were complicated by the unfavorable global situation, particularly the crisis that sent RAM prices skyrocketing. The Controller was released in early May, and there were fears of a long wait for the other two devices, but that danger has been averted.

When Steam Machine and Steam Frame will be released

In a message on the official website, Valve announced that it is expanding the Steam Verified program (which checks if a certain game works with certain hardware) to include Steam Machine and Steam Frame, in view of their launch this summer. So now we know that the mini-PC and the headset will be released by September; the only remaining concern is the prices, considering that the RAM crisis has not yet been resolved and that Steam Deck received a significant price increase.
