Scream 7 – Film Trailer Brings Terror Back to Its Origins
A new mask decides to reopen old wounds, and blood begins to flow again
After years of silence, the "Woodsboro phone" rings again. Scream 7 is a reality, and the first official trailer confirms it: Ghostface is back, more ferocious and more personal than ever. But the real surprise is the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, the absolute protagonist of a chapter that promises to bring the saga back to its most unsettling origins.
In the film, Sidney leads a quiet life with her daughter (played by Isabel May), until a new mask decides to reopen old wounds. Directly linked to the protagonist's past, the killer seems determined to avenge something unresolved, making the hunt a psychological as well as a deadly game.
New Mask, Old Wounds
Alongside her, we find Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and old acquaintances of the saga, but also new faces destined not to survive too long. The presence of Matthew Lillard and David Arquette in the cast has sparked feverish theories: dreamlike appearances, flashbacks, or something darker?
Behind the camera is finally Kevin Williamson, the screenwriter of the original 1996 film, who has returned to close the circle. Scream 7 will not only be a return to horror but also a sharp reflection on the state of horror cinema and sagas that never die. The scream is back, and this time it has the face of Sidney Prescott. Release in Italy February 27, 2026.
