Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake, Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Announced
And it will also arrive here as DLC for the original
We had anticipated it yesterday, and now official confirmation has arrived: the remake of Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 will have a substantial expansion, and it will also be released in our region. The DLC is now called Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack, instead of Power-Up Kit (better, in my opinion, Ed.), and will debut on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and 5 on January 29, 2026. This was announced by Kou Shibusawa and Koei Tecmo to celebrate the franchise's 40th anniversary. All details can be found in the previous article.
In addition to digital bundles with the original game plus the expansion and the simple "upgrade," physical Standard and Treasure Box editions will also be available in Japan, which include the game (complete or just the Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack), a 500-piece puzzle, two A4 posters, a soundtrack CD, and the extra scenario "The Divided Age." It is unclear if these will also arrive in our region. Here is the announcement trailer.
