ASUS expands its gaming offerings with the new ROG Strix GS-BE7200, a high-end router designed to fully leverage the potential of Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be). The device aims for high performance, reduced latency, and intelligent network management, even in home environments crowded with connected devices.

The GS-BE7200 is a dual-band router capable of achieving a total wireless speed of up to 7200 Mbps, thanks to advanced technologies such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 160 MHz channels, and 4K-QAM modulation. In practice, this means more efficiency, greater capacity, and more stable connections during online gaming, high-resolution streaming, and heavy file transfers.

Cutting-edge performance in speed and coverage

On the wired front, the equipment is equally robust: 4x 2.5 Gbps LAN ports and 1x 2.5 Gbps WAN port for a total capacity of up to 12.5G, ideal for leveraging next-generation fiber connections and high-performance home networks.

Particular attention has been paid to coverage. The router integrates 6x internal antennas, with a 5T5R configuration on the 5 GHz band that promises up to 15% more throughput at long distances compared to classic 4T4R designs, improving stability in multi-room or multi-level homes.

Gaming-specific software features are also present, such as the ROG Gaming Network for traffic prioritization, AiMesh Wi-Fi 7 support, and advanced tools for managing IoT networks, VPNs, and security via AiProtection. ASUS has not yet announced pricing or launch date.
