Project Motor Racing gets competitive in multiplayer trailer
Ranked mode is taken quite seriously
Giants Software and Straight4 Studios are back to show us Project Motor Racing, with a new trailer dedicated to the multiplayer component of the racing simulator. The stated goal is to offer a serious Ranked experience, one that lives up to the competition, without any additional cost (unlike the current benchmark for online racing simulators, iRacing, which requires a subscription).
Project Motor Racing's Ranked Mode
To access the Ranked multiplayer mode, you will first need to receive a license: Straight4 Studios has imposed this requirement so that only drivers with an acceptable level of skill will meet on the track. To obtain the license, it will be necessary to pass an exam (which can be repeated in case of failure). A score, intended to quantify the driver's ability, depends on the outcome of the exam.
This score will change depending on the results obtained in Ranked matches. Drivers of similar skill will be matched to race together, and the best performances achieved each week will contribute to defining the standings of the various championships. To ensure the rank more accurately reflects the player's value, it has been decided to assign a different one in each class: for example, for GT4 cars there will be a specific rank, for Prototype cars another, and so on.
We remind you that Project Motor Racing will be released on November 25, 2025. The competition will kick off on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
