Predator: Badlands – Final Trailer of Terror and Spectacle
The deadly alien and a robot in the adrenaline-fueled buddy movie we didn't expect
The new trailer for Predator: Badlands confirms the desire to bring the saga back to its most brutal origins. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, already the author of the successful Prey, the film blends science fiction, horror, and irony into an adventure that could be overwhelming.
Set in a remote future, the film tells of a hostile planet where survival is almost impossible. Here, a young, outcast Predator – played by debutant Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi – tries to prove his worth, facing a threat that even he cannot defeat. Alongside him, the robot Thia, played by Elle Fanning, adds a fresh and ironic touch, transforming the story into a surprising space buddy movie.
Trachtenberg raises the bar even higher
The trailer, with the phrase "Welcome to the most dangerous planet in the universe", alternates frantic action and constant tension, showing a younger, more agile, and tormented Predator. Filmed for large formats like IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and ScreenX, Badlands aims for a total cinematic experience.
Joined by producers John Davis, Marc Toberoff, and Ben Rosenblatt, Trachtenberg expands the franchise's universe with a more emotional and visually audacious tone. The result could be the most intense and innovative adventure in the saga, where even the hunter risks becoming the hunted.
