OPPO Find X9 Ultra - 10x Zoom and a New Photographic Era
The system uses a complex scheme of internal reflections, reducing the physical bulk of the camera module
OPPO is preparing for the global debut of the new Find X9 Ultra, expected on April 21, 2026, focusing entirely on a significant leap in the camera department.
The heart of the device is a telephoto lens developed in collaboration with Hasselblad: a 50MP sensor capable of offering true 10x optical zoom, accompanied by a digital zoom that promises results comparable to optical ones up to 20x. This achievement surpasses current smartphone limitations, which are generally restricted to much lower magnifications.
Inside the new periscopic technology
To achieve this result, OPPO has worked on a completely redesigned periscopic structure. The system uses a complex scheme of internal reflections that allows for compact dimensions, reducing the bulk of the camera module while increasing zoom capability.
Supporting this is a new optical architecture designed to improve image quality already during acquisition, along with an advanced stabilization system based on sensor shift technology. The latter becomes fundamental when working with high magnifications, where even minimal vibrations can compromise the shot.
The Find X9 Ultra thus presents itself as a device that focuses more than ever on photography, with the stated goal of bringing smartphones and dedicated cameras ever closer. Further details will be revealed during the official launch event.
