The greatest eSports players arrive in Montecatini Terme to bring to life an epic challenge that will crown the Italian champions of one of the most famous video games in the world: League of Legends.

This weekend, Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Nuovo Teatro Verdi will host the anticipated finals of the League of Legends Italian Tournament (LIT) 2025, the concluding event of the most important Italian tournament dedicated to the game created by Riot Games, organized by PG Esports.

The initiative stems from the collaboration between the Municipality of Montecatini Terme and Lucca Comics & Games and is part of the Lucca 365 project, which aims to extend the festival's cultural offerings throughout the year, including major events, exhibitions, awards, artistic residencies, educational projects, and much more.

Saturday and Sunday will be two days of eSports and entertainment with lots of fun for everyone: the LIT 2025 finals, hosted at Teatro Verdi (4:30 PM pre-show and matches from 6:00 PM), will see the best Italian League of Legends teams compete in an exceptional setting, with decisive matches that will determine the winner of the summer edition of the championship. The event will be enriched by the presence of celebrated talents from the Italian scene: such as “Paolocannone” and “LaVica”, beloved faces of the community, who will host and present opening performances on both evenings. Alongside them, other talents and content creators will follow the matches live and through their own channels.

Parallel to the finals at Teatro Verdi, a free area for all gamers (free admission) is open to the public at the Terme del Tettuccio, where anyone can access and enjoy a free and accessible experience in the fan & gaming zone. In the unique and evocative setting of these historic spaces, over 200 square meters have been dedicated to informal and community gaming, with activities designed to engage families, enthusiasts, and the curious, providing many arcade cabinets and PS5 stations dedicated to Tekken for free use.
The activities are carried out with exceptional partners such as the Circuito Tormenta by Riot Games, the Team Aqua of Pokémon, and the Italian community of TEKKEN 8, who will create tournaments and entertainment moments open to all.

The communities of CosplayItalia and official Riot cosplayers will animate the two days with dedicated initiatives, a parade, and entertainment moments.

To promote Montecatini Terme and involve the local area, thanks to the commitment of the municipal administration, the Gamer's Passport has also been launched, an urban gamification that invites visitors to discover places and services in the city, collecting special stamps and involving Poggio degli Olivi (restaurant); Ristorante Da Lorenzo; Cibus (bar, sandwich shop, restaurant); Girardengo (men's/women's clothing); Bartolini Calzature; La Rocca di Darsheyalon (specialized trading card game store); Logica Ufficio (school supplies and gadgets) and Gelateria da Riccardo.

Those who complete the path will receive exclusive gadgets and in-game prizes. Local businesses have responded with enthusiasm, contributing to the promotion of the event and warmly welcoming the LIT community. Here is the detailed program for the two days:
