Mewgenics Sells One Million Copies in a Week
McMillen's new game is off to a flying start
Mewgenics finally saw the light of day on February 10th, after a very long gestation period that began way back in 2012. This turn-based tactical title, with an isometric view, has a bizarre characterization, to say the least: your army is made up of mutant cats. This touch of madness is the trademark of Edmund McMillen, the American game designer known for successes such as Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac. The public has given his new work a very warm welcome.
Mewgenics Sales
Mewgenics is a small indie game, created by a team of two developers: McMillen himself, along with Tyler Glaiel. The game was released only on PC, via Steam. We make these premises to better convey the scale of the milestone that has been reached: in one week, sales have exceeded one million copies. Furthermore, according to SteamDB data, last weekend Mewgenics recorded a peak of over 115,000 concurrent users.
