Born as an MMO, then becoming something very different, but still bearing the marks of its past: this is the curious genesis of Windrose, a PvE survival game set in a pirate world that was launched on PC a month ago, on April 14th, in early access. It's a title with great potential, hopefully it will manage to solve the problems that plague it: we explain it in detail in our Windrose review.

Windrose Sales

The project is receiving strong support from the public: within less than a week of launch, the game had already sold over one million copies. After one month, Windrose sales have risen to two million. With a message via Steam, Kraken Express thanked users for their support, praising the passionate community. The developer also shared new information about upcoming updates.

Future Windrose Updates

A patch will soon be released to address some critical issues reported by the community: as mentioned above, Windrose is still plagued by several problems, but early access is specifically for allowing the team to resolve them. After this patch, the first major update will enter production: for now, the scope of its content has not been decided, so unfortunately we will have to wait a while before Kraken Express can provide us with details on this.
