Mega Man: Dual Override - The Game Awards Announcement
The return of a Capcom icon
Capcom will be remembered among the big stars of The Game Awards 2025: the Japanese company participated in the Los Angeles event with major announcements, such as the release date of Pragmata and Leon Kennedy's entry into Resident Evil Requiem. But there was also room for the return of one of the most beloved franchises, Mega Man, which will celebrate its fortieth birthday in a very special way in two years.
Where and When Dual Override Releases
Mega Man: Dual Override was announced with a trailer showing us the first taste of 2.5D side-scrolling action and platforming gameplay. The game is set for release in 2027: you will find Dual Override on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PC via Steam. Alongside the announcement, Capcom launched a design contest for fans, for the creation of a Robot Master boss whose right arm will be equipped with suction powers.
