Machinarium 2: Amanita Design's New Adventure Announced
The enchanting story of Josef and Berta continues
In 2009, Czech studio Amanita Design created Machinarium, a hand-drawn graphic adventure with a fairytale atmosphere. The story follows the adventures of a robot couple, who reunite and escape the rusty confines of Machinarium city. This independent video game received almost unanimous acclaim from critics and audiences, so much so that it is considered a true cult classic: we ourselves sing its praises in our review.
First Details on Machinarium 2
After a very long wait, fans can rejoice: Amanita Design has announced Machinarium 2. The two protagonists Josef and Berta, during their escape, crash into a valley populated by two robot tribes, both running out of energy. Like the first chapter of the series, Machinarium 2 will also be a puzzle-based adventure (and you'll be able to switch between Josef and Berta at any time). It goes without saying, but the sequel will also be strictly hand-drawn.
Where and When Machinarium 2 Will Be Released
Machinarium 2 is currently in development and no launch window has been indicated yet. The only confirmed platform (for now) is PC, via Steam. If you don't know Machinarium but would like to try it, until October 15th the first chapter is 80% off on Steam, priced at €3.99.
