Breakfirst and Microids have announced the release date for their King of Tokyo. This is the video game adaptation of the eponymous board game created by Richard Garfield, the author of the popular Magic: The Gathering. Playing as a kaiju, players must conquer the city of Tokyo and defeat the competition with dice and cards. Up to four participants can challenge each other locally; online play is not planned.
However, a standard physical edition and a limited edition for Switch and PS5 will be released. The latter will include a cardboard figurine and a board depicting the monster Blockbuster Bro, and eight exclusive cards usable in the official board game.
