Kiln Gets a Big Update and an Even Bigger Price Cut
Double Fine tries to relaunch its creation
The Californian studio Double Fine Productions is going through a rather delicate period. Last April, it released its latest work, Kiln, which, however, did not receive a very warm welcome. Subsequently, in July, the studio parted ways with Xbox Game Studios, thus returning to being independent. Without a major publisher behind it, Double Fine must get back on track relying solely on its own strength.
Kiln's Bisque Update
Kiln has been updated with patch 2.0: this is the biggest update the game has ever received, named Bisque, and it brings numerous new features. First and foremost, Double Fine has introduced The Daily Throw, a creative mode distinct from the brawler part, along with weekly missions that allow players to earn extra Chips. Players can now host matches and participate in custom matches. We also find two new maps, new decorations, and other extra content.
Kiln's New Price

To make its product more appealing, Double Fine did not limit itself to adding new content but decided on a drastic price drop: the standard version of Kiln now costs only €7.99 (whereas before it was €19.99, a 60% cut!), while the Fired Up Edition costs €9.99.
