Horizon Steel Frontiers: The Announcement of the Horizon MMO
Guerrilla's iconic series becomes a multiplayer mobile game
Korean software house NCSoft announces Horizon Steel Frontiers, the first MMORPG set in the Horizon universe. Developed in collaboration with Guerrilla, the studio behind the franchise, Horizon Steel Frontiers embraces the series' characteristic action and hunting gameplay, enriching it with an MMORPG structure to expand the experience into the multiplayer frontier.
Horizon Steel Frontiers promises to offer a distinctive Horizon experience that will be faithful to the original, for example, regarding combat with gigantic mechanical dinosaurs, but at the same time will guarantee great customization of one's avatar and combat system. In the announcement trailer, Jan-Bart Van Beek from Guerrilla, along with Taekjin Kim and Sunggu Lee from NCSoft, comment on the new project.
Where will Horizon Steel Frontiers be released?
Along with the announcement trailer, a gameplay trailer was also shared, which gives us a more precise idea of how this MMORPG will look in-game and its interface. Keep in mind, however, that the current build is a pre-alpha version, so it is far from the definitive one. Horizon Steel Frontiers is primarily designed for mobile and will reach Android devices, iOS devices, and PC, at a later date.
