In recent years, Warner Bros.'s gaming division has been the victim of questionable business decisions, resulting in spectacular failures such as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Multiversus. Yet, amidst so much desolation, a golden goose emerged: Hogwarts Legacy, a game that proved to be a resounding success from its launch, having grossed over a billion in less than three months.

Warner Bros. is expected to be acquired by Netflix, which, however, has little regard for the gaming division. This climate of uncertainty cannot diminish the appeal of Hogwarts Legacy, which continues to churn out exceptional numbers: the game has surpassed the threshold of 40 million copies sold across consoles and PC. What is truly impressive is the pace maintained by sales: consider that Hogwarts Legacy is in its third year of life and had reached 30 million in October 2024.
