When is GTA 6 coming out?

It's official: GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) will no longer be released on May 26, 2026. Rockstar Games has announced the delay to November 19, 2026, postponing by several months one of the most anticipated releases in the entire video game industry. This is the second change to the launch date.

GTA 6 has been postponed

The announcement was released through a brief statement on Rockstar Games' official social media channels, in which the studio apologized to the community and explained that the delay is due to the need for more time to achieve the quality standards that have always distinguished its titles.

"Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We apologize for adding more time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to complete the game with the level of polish you expect and deserve. We want to thank you once again for your patience and support. Although the wait is a little longer, we can't wait for players to experience the immensity of Leonida and the return to modern Vice City. Sincerely, Rockstar Games."

Details on GTA 6

First announced in December 2023 with a trailer that broke all viewing records, Grand Theft Auto VI promises to bring players back to the legendary Vice City, introducing a female protagonist for the first time in the saga. Despite the long media silence and the new delay to November 19, 2026, the anticipation shows no signs of diminishing: the community's enthusiasm remains sky-high, fueled by the timeless success of GTA V, which continues to dominate charts and online platforms more than eleven years after its debut.

The countdown lengthens, but the expectation grows in parallel. And if Rockstar keeps its promises, for many fans the wait will be amply rewarded. Here you can find our in-depth analysis.
