George Clooney is ready to return to the world of elegant cons and millionaire heists. After years away from major Hollywood projects, the American actor and director has confirmed that a new film in the Ocean's Eleven saga is finally in preparation.

Clooney, who in recent years had dedicated himself to more personal films such as Hail, Caesar! and The Midnight Sky, revealed that the project has just received the green light from Warner Bros., after a long wait due to budget issues. "We just got the funding approved and we're setting a start date for filming," he explained.

The first film dates back to 2001

The new adventure of the gentleman thief Danny Ocean will also mark the return of the original cast that made the trilogy directed by Steven Soderbergh famous: Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Julia Roberts. "I had dinner with Julia last night, we're still great friends. The idea of all of us coming back together is fantastic," Clooney enthusiastically recounted.

The Ocean's saga captivated audiences between 2001 and 2007, grossing over a billion dollars worldwide. Almost twenty years after the last installment, fans will finally be able to see cinema's most charming team back in action, amidst glamour, irony, and impossible heists.
