Forza Horizon 6 is Set in Japan: The Official Announcement
New chapter in the racing series unveiled
What better occasion than the Tokyo Game Show to announce to the world a video game that will be set in Japan? Xbox and Playground Games have unveiled Forza Horizon 6, the new installment in the automotive series that will transport players to an open world featuring some of the most recognizable Japanese landscapes: from the streets of Tokyo to the rural countryside, passing through mountainous areas.
It's no coincidence that the teaser shown to us reveals little to nothing about the game itself, but prominently features Mount Fuji… These scenarios will change following the progression of the seasons. Japan is a land with a deeply rooted automotive culture, which will naturally be honored in the game. To enjoy the first taste of gameplay, we'll have to wait until early next year (probably the 2026 Developer Direct, which will be broadcast towards the end of January).
When and Where Forza Horizon 6 Will Be Released
Forza Horizon 6 will be released in 2026: you will find the racing game on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Microsoft Store, Steam), as well as on day one on the Game Pass service. At a later time, the game will also reach PlayStation 5.
