FF Tactics Is Out: The Ivalice Chronicles Launch Trailer
A classic turn-based tactical game returns to our screens
With Final Fantasy Tactics, in 1997, Squaresoft created a milestone in turn-based tactical video games, which to this day can still be considered among the greatest exponents of the genre. If you missed it (or if you want to replay it) you can remedy that with Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, which is now available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and PC via Steam.
The Ivalice Chronicles offers numerous improvements, including, of course, updated graphics, a redesigned interface, full English and Japanese voice acting, additional difficulty options, and more. However, in modernizing its classic, Square Enix did a bit of a perfunctory job, daring much less than it should have; despite this, we are still facing a great game, as we explain in our review of The Ivalice Chronicles.
