Fanatec Project Obsidian and Other SimRacing Expo 2026 News
The aluminum structure is complemented by RGB backlit buttons
Fanatec unveiled Project Obsidian, a sim racing wheel set to hit the market in 2027, at the SimRacing Expo 2026 in Frankfurt. The prototype previews the direction chosen by the CORSAIR group brand for its next generation of peripherals, a project developed to integrate SimHub compatibility from the outset.
The wheel features a 5" color LCD display, placed under a single glass surface along with RevLEDs and rotary selector illumination. The aluminum structure is complemented by RGB backlit buttons. Telemetry data can be transmitted via USB or Wi-Fi, with the latter mode primarily designed for UDP telemetry and console game compatibility.
New Wheels and Pedals for Sim Racing
Among other novelties, the ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing stands out, an officially licensed replica inspired by the RB22 single-seater. Equipped with a 2.7" OLED display and forged carbon components, it is expected by mid-November 2026.
Fanatec also announced the sale of the ClubSport Formula Cockpit in the Oracle Red Bull Racing version, while the new Podium Pedals Sport, configured with two pedals and aluminum plates, are already available since October 16. Trak Racer is exhibiting two TRZ motorcycle simulators, as well as cockpits dedicated to Formula 1, GT competitions, and truck driving. Also on display are the Airbus TR550 flight simulator and new solutions to customize the ClubSport GT Cockpit.
