BlizzCon 2026: Classic Cup Participants and Qualifiers
The latest details on Blizzard's esports competitions
Blizzard Entertainment today announced new details for esports at BlizzCon 2026, highlighting the players and teams who will compete in the Blizzard Classic Cup Legacy Matches, as well as updates on the road to BlizzCon for other events, the Overwatch® World Cup and the Hearthstone Masters Tour, and the Arena World Championship and Mythic Dungeon International qualifiers for World of Warcraft.
Blizzard Classic Cup
During both days of BlizzCon, legendary adversaries will return to the stage under Classic Cup captains Nick "Tasteless" Plott and Dan "Artosis" Stemkoski, to compete for glory, their legacy, and points for the Classic Cup trophy. The new Legacy Matches featured include:
- StarCraft: Remastered - BoxeR vs. Nal_rA- Two icons from Brood War history return to the spotlight: BoxeR, one of esports' most influential competitors, and Nal_rA, one of StarCraft's most successful Protoss players.
- StarCraft II - IdrA vs. MC- A classic clash from the Wings of Liberty era returns, with IdrA and MC reigniting one of StarCraft II's fiercest rivalries.
- Heroes of the Storm - Dignitas vs. Gen.G- Heroes of the Storm returns to BlizzCon with a tribute to the 2018 Heroes of the Storm Global Championship finals, with Dignitas and Gen.G reassembling BlizzCon veterans for a long-awaited rematch.
- Warcraft III - ToD vs. TeD- Two highly decorated Warcraft III champions face off in a Legacy Match celebrating years of competitive history, numerous titles won, and an iconic rivalry.
