Elden Ring Nightreign: An Overview of Deep of Night
How deep can FromSoftware's night go?
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have shared an Elden Ring Nightreign trailer to show us the new Deep of Night mode, which will be introduced to the game tomorrow, September 11. Deep of Night aims to make the difficult cooperative soulslike... even more difficult, offering a new challenge to the most skilled players. The trailer outlines the key features of this mode.
Deep of Night Features
In Deep of Night, players will have limited access to information and will therefore need to demonstrate flexibility, being prepared for any eventuality. The Nightlord to be faced will only be revealed at the start of the battle: it is therefore advisable to have a Relic preset for every possible Nightlord. Enemies will obviously be stronger, but not only that, because you will also encounter formidable variants.
By defeating the variants, you can obtain more impactful weapons and power-ups than before, but you will need to pay attention because the weapons could also have very impactful debuffs, capable of leading to ruin... Alongside traditional Relics, you can equip Depth Relics, which will only be available in Deep of Night mode and will also grant access to assorted powers and debuffs.
Depth Relics will be equipped in three new dedicated slots. Deep of Night mode is characterized by a ranking system: successfully completing expeditions will increase your rank. A higher rank, as you can imagine, will mean that the enemies' strength increases dramatically...
