EA Sports F1 skips 2026: F1 25 update coming soon
The new installment of the series is postponed to 2027
In 2026, Formula 1 will undergo an evolution, with new regulations that will lead to substantial modifications of the single-seater cars (for example, DRS will be abolished) and which could change the game, hoping that Ferrari will not be caught unprepared for the event. Although the premier motorsport series is about to take an important step, its virtual counterpart... will remain the same.
F1 26 will not be released: details
Electronic Arts announces that it has decided that the EA Sports F1 franchise will skip the 2026 edition, or rather: a standalone game will not be released; instead, an expansion for F1 25 will arrive. The new content, paid, should update the experience by introducing the innovations that will be implemented in real F1. EA assures us that the series will return in 2027, with an episode that will truly give us the impression of being "new".
It's no coincidence that in our F1 25 review we couldn't help but notice that the formula was more or less the same as the previous year and that one couldn't expect who knows what innovations from an annual series. We hope that EA Sports F1 will make the most of the sabbatical year to shake off the feeling of déjà vu.
