After spending about a year in early access, last March Dragonkin: The Banished transitioned to its definitive version. This fantasy action/RPG with an isometric view doesn't shine in terms of originality and perhaps won't rewrite the canons of the genre, but it rests on a very solid game structure, which shows more courage than many other titles: we explain it well in our Dragonkin review.

The Novelty of the Crossplay Update

Developer Eko Software has released patch 1.5.74.56713 for the game, the first major update since the launch of the full version, which introduces important new features starting with crossplay: now users on all platforms (PS5, Series X|S, and PC) can play together, using an invitation-based system. The update also includes an endgame addition, the Dracomundus Purgatory.

This purgatory consists of three islands, with waves of enemies to defeat and assorted curses affecting the characters. If the first two islands are cleared within a time limit, players can access the third, where the final confrontation awaits. A further novelty of the update is the introduction of unique items: the first are the Ravenous Weapons, a series of weapons defined by a unique name, visual effects, attributes, and passives.

These weapons are characterized by many limitations, and only one can be wielded at a time, but they can evolve by having them devour other items. Finally, the last significant novelty of the new patch consists of a highly requested feature by players: the ability to transfer one's city at will from offline to online mode, and vice versa.
