Drag Me To Fest 5 – Milan Celebrates Indie Horror Cinema
Two days packed with events, unreleased shorts, masterclasses, and a tribute to Joe D'Amato
The fifth edition of Drag Me To Fest is ready to bring terror back to the heart of Milan on November 29 and 30, 2025, confirming itself as one of the most vibrant events dedicated to Italian independent horror. Curated by Non Aprite Questo Blog, the event changes venue and moves to the spacious WAO Romolo C30, a 480 m² location designed to host screenings, talks, and meetings.
Born in 2021, the event has quickly become a meeting point for creatives and enthusiasts of the genre. The 2025 edition aims higher thanks to collaborations with entities like Midnight Factory, Taboo and Rustblade Records, accompanying a program that intertwines cinema, music, and alternative culture.
Tribute to Cannibal Cinema
The heart of the festival is, as always, the selection of Italian and international short films, this time accompanied by a masterclass by screenwriter Lucio Besana and a talk dedicated to the relationship between horror and metal, involving Domenico Fulci and Hannes from Tenebro. Not to be missed is the meeting to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Home Video brand Midnight Factory by Plaion Pictures, dedicated to the distribution of "Well-made Evil" on physical DVD and Blu-ray, in the company of Artistic Director Manlio Gomarasca. His valuable documentary Joe D’Amato Totally Uncut will be screened on Sunday at 8 PM.
The festival will also mark the debut of the DVD "Drag Me To Fest Vol. 2" by Rustblade Records and a lively horror market with rarities, Home Video, and artisanal creations, animated by the scare actors from Horror Park. The graphic identity pays homage to the cults of Cannibal Cinema, while WAO will provide a refreshment area and a convivial atmosphere. Free admission, from 2 PM to 11 PM.
