Cyberpunk 2: Keanu Reeves Could Return
We can't get enough of Johnny Silverhand
Cyberpunk 2077 certainly wouldn't have been the same game without the participation of Hollywood star Keanu "breathtaking" Reeves as the rebellious Johnny Silverhand. And although - without wanting to give you spoilers - the conclusion of the game would seem to have definitively put an "end" to the story of the Rocker with the silver cyberarm, it appears that the actor's participation may still be necessary - and welcome.
In the past, Reeves had already hinted in an interview that he was more than willing to return to play Johnny in the game's sequel - codenamed Orion - but obviously this is not a decision for him, but rather for the developers and writers of the new game.

Among them, however, stands out Mike Pondsmith, the author of the original role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020, who has been involved in the development of Orion even more deeply than he was in Cyberpunk 2077. Well: in a livestream event hosted by IGN in view of the 5th anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077's first [disastrous] launch, Pondsmith stated that he is toying with the idea of bringing the rebellious Rocker back to the screen.
"Not long ago I saw that Keanu would like it if a way was found to bring Johnny back and play him again - says Mike - I have ways to make it possible, Keanu. Contact me!"
These statements by Pondsmith obviously rekindle fans' hopes of seeing Reeves back on screen in a role he masterfully interpreted, giving great depth to the character and the story, but on the other hand, they make us realize that the development of Orion and its plot must still be quite nascent if such "openings" are present, even if only as a cameo or flashback.
It is also true that the game is admittedly still "in the jelly," as CD Projekt RED is now primarily engaged in the development of The Witcher IV. So we can sit back, put our feet on the table like Johnny would, and wait, because it will be a while before we have confirmations or denials...
