Crimson Desert Gets Another Update: What's New
Pearl Abyss will introduce some additional features: let's see what they are
Three weeks have passed since the launch of Crimson Desert, the open-world fantasy action/adventure game developed by Korean studio Pearl Abyss. Ranked among the most anticipated releases of 2026, Crimson Desert proved to be a success with over 4 million copies sold, but it was very divisive for critics and audiences; if you want our opinion, we speak very highly of it in our review.
New Crimson Desert Features
Immediately after launch, Pearl Abyss began updating its work, also because it needed numerous corrections to make it a little less "rough around the edges". For the future, the Korean studio has announced the addition of three features:
- Boss Rematch - It will be possible to re-challenge bosses defeated during the campaign
- Re-blockading - Enemies will attempt to retake lost settlements, so Kliff will have to drive them out again
- Difficulty Levels - Players can choose between three levels: easy, normal, and hard
Alongside these three new functionalities, Pearl Abyss will introduce other minor changes. There will be further optimizations to the interface, controls, and visuals, as well as the inventory; new content will be added, including alternative costumes, skills for Damiane and Oongka, and Mounts.
