Blue Prince Unjustly Accused of Using Generative AI

The recent mishap involving Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which received a GOTY award at the Indie Awards only to have it revoked, had an unpleasant aftermath that fortunately died down quickly (or so we hope). Blue Prince, the title that received the game of the year award instead of Expedition 33, was in turn accused of having used generative artificial intelligence during its development. 

Blue Prince was not made with AI

The game's publisher, Raw Fury, intervened on the matter with a message via Twitter/X, stating that there is no AI involved in Blue Prince: everything you see was made by flesh-and-blood humans, over eight years of development. The accuser, the website The Escapist, then covered its head in ashes, admitting to having no supporting evidence and apologizing to those directly involved.
