Battle Arena Toshinden: Porting of First Three Chapters Announced for Fighting Game
Releasing between 2026 and 2027
To celebrate the saga's thirtieth anniversary, Edia has partnered with Takara Tomy to bring the first three chapters of Battle Arena Toshinden to modern platforms. This was one of the very first 3D fighting games in history, and the first ever to be released on the original PlayStation (beating Tekken by a few months).
Battle Arena Toshinden, Battle Arena Toshinden 2, and Battle Arena Toshinden 3 were released on Sony's first console between 1995 and 1997 (including in our region). As for the modern adaptations, we don't have much information yet, except that they will be published between the fiscal years 2026 and 2027, likely as a single collection, if we consider the Japanese publisher's recent collections. We will keep you updated with any further news.
