Assassin's Creed: News on the Future Games of the Series
Ubisoft updates us on its main franchise
The latest addition to the Assassin's Creed family, Black Flag Resynced, recently received its final update: there will be no further news for this title, but plenty of news is indeed planned for the rest of the saga. Ubisoft has published an update on the entire franchise, in which it states its intention to work more closely with the community and, above all, shares information on future chapters.
Upcoming Assassin's Creed Games
From the message, we learn that the multiplayer project called Codename Invictus had its first player-open test session a few months ago. Regarding Invictus' features, Ubisoft mentions parkour, map verticality, dynamic team play, and the ability to select different characters belonging to the franchise, each with specific abilities.
The feedback received from players was positive; testers recognized that there is great potential at its core, while still asking developers for a greater presence of the elements that characterize an Assassin's Creed. There is also a second project in the works, Codename Hexe, which will be something darker than Assassin's Creed standards, but we will receive further info on it in 2027.
No More Remakes… For Now
Black Flag Resynced was the first remake in the Assassin's Creed franchise and sold well: does this mean more are coming? Ubisoft has specified that, at the moment, there are no further remakes in preparation. However, this does not mean the door is closed: the French company does not rule out the idea of proposing new ones in the future.
