Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Gets a Makeover on PS5 Pro
Sony's console boosts Ubisoft's remake
On July 9, 2026, Ubisoft will release Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake of the Black Flag that led the franchise into pirate waters in 2013. Rebuilt from scratch with the Anvil graphics engine, this new version aims to remain faithful to the original, while obviously offering updated gameplay and technical features. A good example of the technical improvements comes from the trailer dedicated to the PlayStation 5 Pro edition.
On the most powerful console in Sony's gaming ecosystem, Black Flag Resynced will benefit from PSSR, the AI upscaling technology that has been recently perfected. Global illumination and reflections will be more advanced than on the standard PS5, thanks to Ray Tracing.
