WINDSOR, UNITED KINGDOM – July 2, 2026 – Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. (KONAMI) presents Origins of Chaos for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG). This expansion introduces updated versions of Starlight Rare cards, now with more intense colors, greater legibility, and a rainbow foil outer border.

This 100-card booster set reimagines monsters like Black Luster Soldier and Dark Magician of Chaos, equipping them with powerful new effects to make them competitive in today's tournaments, and adds five cards with extended artwork that go beyond standard formats. New versions and new effects also for some of Yugi's most famous monsters, such as Summoned Skull, Celtic Guardian, and Kuriboh.

The Sacred Beasts, protagonists of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! GX storyline, return in this set. The new versions of the Sacred Beasts can only be Special Summoned by using the effect of a “Sacred Beast” card. To make Summoning easier, several copies of these cards are included in the set. Furthermore, the Sacred Beasts feature enhanced versions of their original powers. The main monsters of the “Blitzclique” series also receive updated effects, with a completely new theme: Thunder-type plunderers.

In a set dedicated to the King of Games, chess could not be missing. This is a rather rare theme that does not include monsters in the Main Deck, but Spells, Traps, and Synchro Monsters, and is based on Duelists' ability to place their Monster Cards in the Spell & Trap Zones.

Origins of Chaos includes:

  • 10 Secret Rares
  • 14 Ultra Rares
  • 26 Super Rares
  • 50 Commons
  • 5 cards available in Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare versions with extended artwork
  • 20 additional cards available in Starlight Rare versions
