Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have shared a new trailer for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, announcing its release date. The video provides new information on the story, main characters, and gameplay systems. Wings of Ember will transport us to 3rd century AD China, in an alternative dark fantasy version of the Three Kingdoms period where a war with demons rages.
What's New in Wo Long 2
In Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, we will find the frenetic combat system of the first chapter, enhanced with new exclusive moves. For example, Intuitive Abilities will allow players to dodge enemy blows and perform counterattacks by using the terrain to their advantage. There will be greater freedom of action: the game will provide vast dynamic open spaces to explore at will. Furthermore, it will be essential to maintain high troop morale.
Where and When Wo Long 2 Releases
The release date for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember has been set for March 4, 2027. You will find Team Ninja's new action game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC (Steam, Xbox PC), and from day one on the Game Pass subscription service. Pre-orders are open. Standard or Digital Deluxe editions are available: the latter contains the base game, the Season Pass, digital artbook and soundtrack, and the in-game items Creator God Armor Set and Shitieshou Hat.
The Wo Long 2 Demo
If you want to experience the second chapter of the Wo Long saga firsthand, you can download the free Alpha Demo. This demo version is available from today until September 30 on all platforms except Nintendo Switch 2 and allows you to try out some of the title's features such as the character editor and 3-player multiplayer. Those who complete the demo will receive the in-game item Young Phoenix Helmet, transferable to the full game.
