Where Winds Meet is an open-world role-playing game, set in a fantasy universe inspired by Chinese folklore and, in particular, martial arts. Published in its home country by NetEase in December 2024, this title is now set to arrive in the West: the date is this Friday, November 14, on PlayStation 5 and PC (Windows, Steam, Epic Games Store). Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play game with cosmetic microtransactions.

The Martial Arts of Where Winds Meet

In a Wuxia-themed game like Where Winds Meet, martial arts are obviously at the center of the experience: this title boasts 7 weapons, 12 styles, and 23 mystic arts to choose from. The move animations were created using motion capture with the consultation of Stephen Tung Wai, acclaimed action choreographer from Hong Kong cinema. In the future, many more weapons and techniques will be introduced.

The World of Where Winds Meet

Martial arts are just one of the game's attractions. At launch, users will find a vast open world awaiting them, with a day/night cycle and variable weather conditions. The numerous environments, from countryside to cities, will be enriched by over 10,000 NPCs to interact with, each leading their own life. The scenarios will be animated by various events and side activities.
