UNIVIDEO confirms Luciana Migliavacca as president
Priorities include enhancing the film catalog and combating online piracy
UNIVIDEO's assembly has confirmed Luciana Migliavacca as president of the association representing Italian audiovisual publishers, renewing her mandate for the next two years. Vice-presidents Mauro Pezzali (Rai Cinema/01 Distribution) and Riccardo Sacchi (Eagle Pictures) also remain in office.
Physical media and digital at the core
The association will continue its work in support of home entertainment, a sector that continues to include both the physical media market – DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD – and digital distribution. Among the stated priorities are the enhancement of the film catalog, the protection of the sector on a regulatory level, and the fight against online piracy.
Commenting on her reconfirmation, the president emphasized the importance of understanding the evolution of audience habits to support a market that continues to represent a cultural as well as industrial heritage. For home video enthusiasts, physical media remains a benchmark thanks to the quality of the editions and its role in preserving cinematic heritage.
