Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis retells the story of the original Tomb Raider, but 30 years later it can tell it with new means, a process showcased by the trailer shared by Amazon Game Studios, Crystal Dynamics, and Flying Wild Hog. The video focuses on Larson Conway, a villain perpetually in competition with Lara: he is a rough man, though not particularly bright.

As we said, the narrative employs new means: the trailer emphasizes the importance of the motion capture sessions between the actress who plays Lara (Alix Wilton Regan) and the actor who plays Larson (Bradley Snedeker), and how the chemistry that emerges from the situation is reflected in the game's cutscenes, giving the scene an expressiveness that, due to obvious technical limitations, could not be achieved in the 1996 original.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be released on February 12, 2027. This new version of Lara Croft's very first adventure will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam).
