Publisher Tinybuild and developer Fantastic Signals present The Lift, a first-person simulator that will put players in the shoes of the Keeper, tasked with restoring a large research institute. Once the most scientifically advanced building in the world, after a catastrophe the institute fell into disrepair: to restore it to its former glory, it will be necessary to do a bit of everything, from cleaning to furniture repairs, up to wiring electrical systems.

Players will therefore be asked to deal with multiple types of small repairs, building the necessary tools as needed; but they will also have to plan large-scale renovations for each of the 5 main areas that make up the institute. This place harbors a quantity of supernatural secrets: alongside the repair simulation, a science fiction story will unfold.

When and where The Lift will be released

In creating The Lift, Fantastic Signals was inspired by Soviet science fiction, particularly the novel Monday Starts on Saturday, written by brothers Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. The studio has been developing the game for 4 years, but it will need a little more time before finishing it: The Lift's launch window is 2027, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
