The Legend of Zelda, Ganondorf's possible face emerges
The film adaptation is directed by Wes Ball, while the screenplay is penned by T. S. Nowlin
After months of almost absolute silence, the live-action film dedicated to The Legend of Zelda is back in the news thanks to a new cast rumor. Production continues to maintain maximum secrecy, but in the last few hours, the name of the actor who could play Ganondorf, the main antagonist of the Nintendo saga, has emerged.
According to journalist Kyle Buchanan, the role of the famous Gerudo king has been entrusted to Australian actor Uli Latukefu. At the moment, there is no official confirmation from Nintendo or Sony Pictures, so the news should be considered a mere rumor.
A rumor might have completed the main cast
If the information proves to be correct, Latukefu would join Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, chosen to play Link, and Bo Bragason, who will portray Princess Zelda, thus completing the trio of the series' most iconic characters.
The Australian actor is best known for the biographical sitcom Young Rock, where he played a young version of Dwayne Johnson, but throughout his career, he has also appeared in productions such as Alien: Covenant, MaXXXine, Next Goal Wins, and the recent series Countdown.
The film adaptation is directed by Wes Ball, while the screenplay is penned by T. S. Nowlin. For the rest, Nintendo continues to reveal no details about the plot, nor about the game that will serve as a reference. The film's release is set for late April 2027, when audiences will finally discover how Hyrule comes to life on the big screen.
