A short gameplay video of The Duskbloods has surfaced online on the eve of the first public Network Test, offering a more concrete look at the new FromSoftware game's PvPvE structure. The footage shows extremely mobile combat, with dashes, double jumps, and aerial attacks, as well as some of the more unusual abilities already hinted at by promotional material.

According to reports circulating in recent hours, the video was published prematurely by 4Gamers and subsequently removed. Metadata recovered before deletion showed the title “Phase 4 – Moon’s Bloodletting Brawl,” suggesting that the sequences may belong to a specific phase of the match. However, there is no official confirmation from FromSoftware regarding the origin of the footage.

The images primarily reveal how much The Duskbloods deviates from the more measured combat of the Souls series. In addition to the strong vertical component, the leaked gameplay features AI-controlled wolves that can accompany the player and a transformation that allows one of the characters to take on the appearance of a massive velociraptor-like dinosaur. The sequence concludes with the winner raising a chalice of sorts before the moon.

Firearms, however, are not a novelty of the leak. In the official interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki published by Nintendo, the director had already explained that the setting allows for the use of pistols and other ranged weapons, and that every Bloodsworn has a system for striking from a distance. Miyazaki himself had anticipated fast running, super jumps, double jumps, and individual abilities designed to make movement more dynamic compared to the studio's previous games.

The footage arrives just hours before the first real test. The official Network Test will begin on August 21 at 12:00 PM CEST and will continue through five sessions until August 24. Each match can involve up to eight players and will serve FromSoftware to verify server load, multiplayer functionality, and balancing.

The Duskbloods is still scheduled for release in 2026 exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. The leak does not yet clarify how all phases of a match are organized, but it confirms at least one thing: the PvP designed by Miyazaki focuses on speed, vertical mobility, and much more eccentric abilities compared to traditional Souls combat.
