Prime Video has unveiled the first official images from The Bluff, a pirate thriller set in the 19th-century Caribbean that will debut on streaming on February 25, 2026.

Starring Indian cult actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who plays the role of Ercell Bodden, a former pirate known as Bloody Mary. After betraying her crew and stealing a cargo of gold, she takes refuge on a seemingly tranquil island, where she builds a new life as a wife and mother. But the past returns to claim her when a ruthless band of pirates lands on the island.

Pirates, no romanticism

Leading them is Karl Urban, who plays Connor, a captain obsessed with revenge. He doesn't just want the gold but to settle scores with those who betrayed him. A dark and unstable antagonist, described as a man consumed by hatred, far from classic caricatured villains.

Prime Video is banking on brutal and realistic action, devoid of forced romanticism: the relationship between the two protagonists is made only of physical clashes and resentment. The central motivation is survival and the protection of family, a key element of Ercell's character.

Frank E. Flowers directs, also co-writing the screenplay with Joe Ballerini. Among the producers are the Russo brothers, a guarantee of ambition and spectacle. The cast also includes Temuera Morrison (image above), Ismael Cruz Córdova, and Safia Oakley-Green. A title that promises to stand out in the Prime Video catalog for its raw tone and strong identity.
