Stranger than Heaven Takes Us Back to 1915
An in-depth look at the first of the game's 5 cities
Publisher Sega and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio return to talk about Stranger than Heaven, shortly after explaining how showbiz works. The new trailer is set in the year 1915, in the city of Kokura, Fukuoka: here we find a Makoto Daito who has just arrived in Japan, still a very young and inexperienced individual, who must contend with discrimination and prejudice.
Kokura, where tradition and modernity meet
Kokura features the characteristics of a Japanese city from the early 20th century, with many traditional buildings that give it a unique appearance; alongside them, however, there are also traces of modernity, such as steel mills. In this scenario, Daito will engage in numerous activities, both main and secondary: from shopping at stores to visiting private homes, from competing in an arm wrestling challenge to fishing, and so on.
Stranger Than Heaven is scheduled for January 15, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Xbox PC) and the Game Pass service.
