The long journey of Stranger Than Heaven spans 50 years of the 20th century and follows the vicissitudes of a man struggling to survive, relying on his musical talent. This talent will particularly emerge during the third stage: Minami, in the city of Osaka, which is shown to us in the new trailer from Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The protagonist Makoto Daito arrives here in the midst of World War II.

Minami, or Entertainment, Legitimate or Otherwise

The tumultuous period heightens tensions among citizens, an element that can be clearly perceived in Minami's atmosphere. Furthermore, despite the environment increasingly showing signs of modernity and Westernization, severe censorship has fallen upon the lives of the Japanese, creating conditions for clandestine recreational activities to proliferate: this is especially true for a place like Minami, which already teems with nightlife venues.

Daito will therefore have the opportunity to establish himself in the entertainment world as a showman, although the competition is fierce… If you want to retrace the previous stages of the journey, we refer you to 1915 in this article and to 1929 in this other one. Three more months separate us from Stranger Than Heaven: the release date is January 15, 2027, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Xbox PC) and on Game Pass.
