Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, US Spot Arrives
Tight editing, never-before-seen footage, and the arrival of a creature larger than the Rancor
The first real step towards the return of Star Wars to the big screen comes from a brief but significant television spot released in the United States. The film Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu will indeed be the first feature film in the saga to reach cinemas after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and Disney has begun promoting it with a new teaser of approximately 60" seconds.
The film will bring the duo of Din Djarin and Grogu, protagonists of the series The Mandalorian, back to theaters. The new spot re-proposes some images already seen in the official trailer, but also includes brief unreleased sequences that are already fueling fan speculation.
Between adventure, dangers, and irony
Among the most dynamic images, a rapid action scene is glimpsed where Din Djarin and Grogu head towards their ship, with tight editing suggesting a very adventurous tone. However, the character's softer side is not missing in an almost comical moment, when Grogu sneezes.
The spot also suggests that the protagonists will get into trouble with the Hutts, the powerful crime lords already seen in The Book of Boba Fett. The most curious anticipation concerns a gigantic creature called Dragonsnake, destined to remind fans of the famous Rancor sequence from the classic trilogy.
Directed by Jon Favreau and still starring Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, the film will arrive in theaters on May 20, 2026.
