Sick Puppy: Love and Blood in the Horror Trailer
Feelings, obsession, and death surround a married couple with unspeakable secrets
An unconventional marriage, an apparently normal life, and a secret impossible to ignore. Sick Puppy presents itself as a horror thriller with dark comedy undertones, arriving on May 22nd in the USA in select theaters and digital.
At the center of the story is Charlie, a woman deeply devoted to her husband John despite the fact that he suffers from not-so-negligible psychological disturbances that have turned him into a serial killer. When he decides to put everything behind him to protect their relationship, a glimmer of hope for a much-desired normality seems to open up. But the arrival of the police threatens to shatter everything.
Love and Serial Murders
The film builds tension on an unstable balance between love and obsession. Charlie is not a mere spectator: she is ready to do anything to defend her husband and keep their new suburban life intact, even if it means pushing beyond all limits.
The cast includes Natasha Calis, Brett Geddes, Dylan Taylor, and Tony Nappo. Jay Reid makes his directorial debut, also writing the screenplay. The project is a collaboration between Nameless Films and Servitor Films, with a production team already active in genre cinema.
Between psychological tension and black humor, Sick Puppy seems to play on a simple but disturbing premise: how far can one go for love? A work that, in our country, risks, once again, going straight to streaming platforms.
