Saber Interactive Announces New John Wick Game
Are you ready for a new Baba Yaga story?
The lethal John Wick will make his return, but not to cinemas. The killer portrayed by Keanu Reeves will be the protagonist of a new video game, announced by Saber Interactive, which for now does not yet have an official name, nor a launch window. The American company will reveal these details in a future presentation; for now, we must content ourselves with some hints about the game's setting.
First Information on the John Wick Game
This video game is being developed by Saber in collaboration with the film saga's director, Chad Stahelski, and the production company Lionsgate. The game will be an AAA title offering a strong cinematic experience, which will capture the adrenaline-fueled essence of the franchise: the gameplay will feature characteristic elements such as car chases, or combat with a mix of gunfights and martial arts.
The Story of the John Wick Game
The story will recount a period of Wick's life that we don't know: when he was still an active killer, before his retirement. Chronologically, the events will therefore take place before those of the films. We will see some familiar faces from the John Wick universe, along with new characters created specifically for the occasion. The atmosphere will have that neo-noir flavor typical of the franchise. The game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
