Ratatan Updates to Version 1.0: The Launch Trailer
The spiritual successor to that small cult hit called Patapon
Publisher Game Source Entertainment, along with developers TVT and Ratata Arts, announce the release of patch 1.0 for Ratatan. Released in early access in September 2025, this video game transitions to its full version today. You can find Ratatan on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam). In the future, the title will also be released on the original Nintendo Switch and PC via GOG.
Ratatan is a rhythm game with roguelike mechanics, a spiritual successor to Patapon (the same author is behind both projects). The goal is to lead a small army through a 2D side-scrolling level and triumph against the various enemies that appear. If you know Patapon, then you'll know that battles unfold to the rhythm of the music, and if you don't, the launch trailer will give you an idea of the experience.
