Project Songbird: FYRE Games Announces New Horror Adventure
Conner Rush takes us into the horrors of the Appalachians
Project Songbird is the title of the new first-person narrative horror adventure developed by FYRE Games, the indie software house of Conner Rush, also the author of Summerland and We Never Left.
Project Songbird is set in the forests of the Appalachian Mountains, a seemingly calm and peaceful region, perfect for the protagonist Dakota in her search for peace, concentration, and inspiration. Dakota is a musician with a flourishing career who has hit the classic writer's block and needs to find tranquility to write her next album. As she searches for scraps of creativity among the pine trees, the woman will discover that something else lurks in the darkness and that not all "inspirations" are positive.
"With a strong focus on narrative, cinematic presentation, and player immersion, Project Songbird contrasts a naturalistic and picturesque setting with surreal nightmares," the press release tells us. "The vocal performances of a talented cast will draw players headfirst into this dark story, and breathtaking combat will make it tactile."
