A rather convincing video has surfaced online: could it be true?
The Persona series recently celebrated its 30th anniversary: the first installment, titled Revelations: Persona, was released in September 1996 on the original PlayStation. This JRPG saga began as a spin-off of the Megami Tensei franchise, but over time it progressively gained importance and today perhaps represents the flagship title in the catalog of its developer, the Japanese studio Atlus.
The Rumor About the First Persona Remake
For a few days now, a video (which you can find, for example, on Reddit) has surfaced online concerning an alleged remake of the first Persona, showing a work-in-progress build. We are in a period where generative AI is used to falsify anything, so we approach these things with a pinch of healthy skepticism, but the video seems too convincing to be just an elaborate prank.
